ABOUT US: my story

Laura Gruber, MHA, PMA®-CPT, TPI

Laura Gruber, formerly a health care administrator, began taking Pilates over sixteen years ago. An avid runner and exercise enthusiast, she began to experience knee pain and was looking for an exercise option that would result in stretching, strengthening, and balancing the whole body. In 2008, after a two year training program, she was certified by Master Teacher Elizabeth Boswell Jones. Laura received her Polestar Practitioner Certification in March 2013.  Due to the large number of clients that played golf and her love of the game, Laura received her TPI Level 1 Certification in June of 2017. The Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certification program is an evidence based, educational pathway designed to teach industry professionals how to increase player performance through a deep understanding of how the body functions during the golf swing. Laura has three children and is married to David Gruber, MD a board-certified pediatric and adult neurosurgeon. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Oregon State University and a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Southern California.  She is a member of Pilates Method Alliance (PMA), a professional association and a certifying agency for Pilate’s teachers.
